bankHometown hosted 2nd annual drive for veterans
bankHometown recently hosted their 2nd annual clothing and food drive for veterans. They collected clothing at their Massachusetts offices to support Veterans Inc.’s 19th annual Stand Down event in June, and food at their Connecticut offices for Veterans Base Camp in Chaplin, CT.
“In just the second year of our food and clothing drives for veterans, the outpouring of support we received from our communities was truly awe-inspiring,” says bankHometown President and CEO Robert J. Morton. “We’re indebted to those who have served our country and are pleased to be able to give back in this way to thank them for their service.”
In addition to this bank-wide drive, nearly 30 bankHometown employees volunteered for the Stand Down event, helping the event run smoothly. bankHometown’s support made a lasting impression within the Veterans Inc. organization.
“I would like to take a moment to extend a huge thank you on behalf of the Veterans Inc. staff and the community we serve for the work and efforts from the bankHometown team,” says Morgan Paquette, development coordinator at Veterans Inc. “Volunteers are such a crucial piece of our Stand Down event and we are very fortunate to have a community partner like bankHometown joining our efforts in making a difference.”
