bankHometown Launches May Drive to Support Local Veteran Organizations

Oxford, Massachusetts — April 21, 2025

bankHometown is proud to announce their 3rd annual community-wide drive in support of two local veterans’ organizations, starting Thursday, May 1 at all bankHometown locations.

Throughout the month, the bank’s Massachusetts branches will be collecting clothing donations to support Veterans Inc. and their annual Stand Down event, which provides essential services to veterans in need. This year’s Stand Down will be held on Friday, June 13 in Worcester, MA from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Clothing donations will be accepted until Saturday, May 31 at Massachusetts offices.

In addition, bankHometown will be collecting non-perishable canned goods in its Connecticut branches to benefit Veterans Base Camp, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering veterans through transitional support and community programs. Non-perishable items needed include local grocery store gift cards; gas gift cards for food bank pickups; condiments such as mustard, mayo, ketchup, and relish; baking supplies such as sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder and sugar substitutes; pasta; tuna; peanut butter; jelly; macaroni and cheese; toilet paper; paper towels; baby wipes and diapers; and pet food. Food donations will be accepted until Monday, June 30 at Connecticut offices.

Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at any bankHometown office.
